EVERYTHING
Everything
is inside you,
When
sympathy, service, and compassion is true,
Everything
is inside everything,
As the
restless, aimless, and erring being,
Deep
inside the Ocean,
There
lies a bed of Sand and terrain,
Deep
down the Desert,
The Water
flows through the hidden part,
Dig
deep; Sink and seek,
There
is a root of each mountain peak,
Which
burns into memory, bursts into view,
Where
the old self meets the new,
Now
throw everything away,
Even
your name in the enforced silence of the way,
Take a
handful of heartbeats now,
Now
continue the journey anyhow,
Of all
the things I’ve earned,
Of all
the lessons I’ve learned,
It’s
toughest to learn to let go,
It’s
toughest to teach the lessons you know,
Everything
is inside you; pain and pleasure,
Even
the unheeded beauties and unheroic measure,
Where
body disguises the Mind,
And
leaves the Soul behind,
I walk
through the Shadows,
And I
am very sorry to say,
I’m
but a shadow,
Whose
light is far away.
